founder, Board Chair

Anjuli Kapoor

Executive Director

After spending a decade in academia, Anjuli moved into the private nonprofit sector fifteen years ago, first serving youth and adults in and out of homelessness and youth corrections before moving on to director-level work. Her work with Ithaka Housing brought tremendous success for the organization, including tripling the budget, quadrupling the staff count, and building 2 new programs for people transitioning off the streets and out of incarceration, back into the community. Her two Master’s Degrees, coupled with certifications in mediation, Six Sigma, and executive-level coaching helped her to bring a data-driven lens to compassionate, caring work with vulnerable populations. She is best known for her focus on staff care, creating a trauma-informed environment of compassion and understanding while implementing nonviolent communication techniques in the workplace. Incorporating in-depth research before launching new programs and services, Anjuli practices power-sharing with staff, empowering them to discover their gifts so they can best serve Dreamzilla’s participants and ensuring a values-centric way of delivering services to neurodivergent people across the country.
