Celebrating Exceptional Minds Transforming Views on Neurodivergence and Paving the Way for Change.

SAN JOSE, CA – Oct 3, 2023 – Dreamzilla Inc., a pioneering nonprofit dedicated to celebrating neurodiversity, is thrilled to announce its first-ever scholarship recipients. This year’s scholarship winners include Brittany Duncan, a multi-talented individual with Attention Deficit Disorder and Type 2 Narcolepsy; Julianne Lukassen, a registered nurse diagnosed with ADHD; Austin Riley, a race car driver with autism; and Serafino Palumbo, an autistic college student studying psychology, looking to make a difference in the lives of other neurodivergent individuals as a counselor. Each recipient’s unique journey underscores the vast potential within the neurodivergent community and the importance of providing tailored support. The scholarships are designed to empower neurodivergent individuals, providing them with the resources they need to thrive in their chosen fields. Whether it’s furthering education or funding career aspirations, Dreamzilla’s scholarships are tailored to ensure recipients can become their “biggest, baddest selves.”

This initiative is a testament to Dreamzilla’s steadfast commitment to recognizing and nurturing the unique talents and perspectives that neurodivergent individuals bring to the table. By lessening financial barriers, the scholarship program not only facilitates academic and professional growth but also fosters a sense of belonging, self-confidence, and well-being among its awardees. This significant milestone underscores the organization’s commitment to supporting neurodivergent individuals, who represent an estimated 15-20% of the population, in their pursuit of professional dreams and passions. By offering these scholarships, Dreamzilla aims to challenge societal norms, emphasizing that neurodivergence simply means “different” and is not a deficit.

“These scholarships are more than just financial aid; they are a celebration of the incredible achievements and potential of neurodivergent individuals,” said Ken Loh, Co-founder, Treasurer/Secretary of Dreamzilla Inc. “From Brittany's multifaceted talents to Austin's passion on the racetrack, each recipient showcases the importance of fostering an environment where neurodivergent individuals are valued for their unique contributions. We are immensely proud to support their journeys and look forward to witnessing the positive impact they will undoubtedly make in their respective fields and communities.”

Ken Loh’s sentiments echo the personal experiences of many within the neurodivergent community, including his son, Kyle Loh, Dreamzilla Inc. Co-founder and CEO, who offers a firsthand perspective on the unique strengths and capabilities that neurodivergent individuals possess. Drawing from his own journey with autism, Kyle emphasizes the advantages that come with neurodivergence, turning perceived challenges into unparalleled strengths.

“As a person with autism, I have a tendency to obsess over my interests. Routines come naturally to me, so I really see my condition as an asset which helps me stay laser-focused behind the wheel,” says Kyle Loh. “Through these scholarships, we hope to amplify the incredible talents within the neurodivergent community and demonstrate the broader societal benefits of embracing neurodiversity.”

About Dreamzilla Inc.

Dreamzilla Inc. is a California-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to promote neurodiversity and offer support and encouragement for neurodivergent people to follow their passions, cultivate their unique talents and become their “biggest, baddest selves.” Neurodiversity is the idea that neurological differences like autism and ADHD are the result of normal, natural variations in the human brain. Due to these differences, people experience and interact with the world in many different ways, and there is no one “right” way of thinking, learning, and behaving. Dreamzilla was founded by Kyle Loh, an autistic race car driver, to help others in the neurodivergent community realize their dreams and unleash their gargantuan talents into the world.
